Reviews of the Inner Space detective murder mystery novels from Merlin Fraser.

From its title, I expected "Inner Space" to be an exciting,
off-the-beaten path crime mystery story. And from the first page, I was
not disappointed! This storyis full of believable, yet quite
complicated characters who come to life on the pages with the author's
skillful presentation; and of interesting & somewhat convoluted
backgrounds painted in vivid strokes in historical locales in England;
and of edge-of-the-seat suspense laced with subtle undercurrents. The
stuff of a great mystery story! Plus more. . . .
It is definitely not an everyday mystery story. For a Texan, it has an
Arthur Conon Doyle flavor and similar permeating complexity. It compels
me to find out more about the settings and to fully understand their
role in the story. Fascinating!
There are no incidental words. Throughout, it vibrates with a griping
sense of impended crisis, rising questions and pulsing emotions, making
it impossible to put down. I eagerly await the next of the author's
trilogy of books featuring these main characters. Just the one whets
the appetite for more!
